When you go to the grocery store, you will often see one type of avocado for sale – the Hass. We grow several varieties on the grove.

Hass

  • Most commonly sold – about 95%
  • Oval
  • Medium size 
  • Pebbly Skin
  • Superior Rich Taste
  • Turn dark purplish brown when ripe
  • Medium pip
  • Harvested spring

Pinkerton

  • Large
  • elongated pear-shaped
  • Small Seed
  • Rich nutty flavor
  • Remain green when ripe
  • Harvested in winter

Reed 

  • Large and Round
  • Good Nutty Flavor
  • Slightly pebbled skin
  • Easy peeling
  • Creamy green flesh
  • Turn deep purplish brown when ripe
  • Harvested late spring or early summer

Lamb Hass

  • Oval
  • Large
  • Smooth nutty taste
  • Pebbly thick skin
  • Turn deep purplish/black when ripe
  • Harvested late summer
